mud man
the mud here in Eugene is extra-strength and nearly impossible to wash
off. But it sure looks fun to play in!

window seat
our place in Oregon pretty much sucks but the best thing about it is
the great big window in the front. It looks out into the treetops of
an oak tree and a maple and there are windows on three sides. There is
a big ugly rattan chair shaped like a bowl that is actually a pretty
great place to sit and enjoy the spot.

Dammit!
We are driving up toward San francisco and just passed an enormous
cattle farm ("cowschwitz"). There are thousands of cattle in sight and
as we drove past vincent exclaimed, "DAMMIT that's a lot of cows."

on the road at last
It took us so long to get packed and get the house ready for our open
house but we are finally en route. First stop will be Menlo Park for a
meeting at Vincent's new preschool tomorrow.

presidential garden
This year we've planted much more of our yard with edibles: 6 tomato
plants, 4 broccoli, 6 bunches of onions, several squash, lots of mint,
potatoes, arugala, and even the fruit trees look like they may produce
a bit. The caterpillars have done a job on the broccoli but otherwise
things look pretty great.
I think we need a bird feeder and bird bath to encourage them to come
and they can eat some caterpillars once they're here.

baby tracks
I love how you can see the arc described by Arthur's path as he left
the blanket to go exploring the beach.

Cabinet doors
We finally got new doors on these cabinets. The list of things to do
before we are ready to photograph gets a little shorter...

Baby Arthur, king of all subjects?
this baby is so mellow and so scrumptious I really should be
photographing him more since he sits still for it.
